Demière-Ansiot is a small domaine, with just 3.5 hectares of Grand Cru vineyards in Oger and Le Mesnil. Nicolas Demière farms the chalky soil of the Côte des Blancs, from which he vinifies incisive, precise expressions of the terroir with a high-toned ethereal minerality.
The family owns another vineyard in the Vallée de la Marne, from which they sell all the fruit. Having ready buyers on hand gives Nicolas the flexibility to sell off any of his Côte des Blancs fruit that he isn’t satisfied with. The wines are all finished at Extra Brut level of dryness but are still labeled as Brut.
