The Remy family has been growing grapes in Bouzy since 1629. They have gradually expanded their domaine to 17 plots totaling 4.7 hectares in the Montagne de Reims villages of Bouzy, Ambonnay, Louvois, and Tauxières. The vineyards are worked biodynamically.
While working as a viticultural consultant for the past 20 years, Georges Remy began making small lots of wine from the family vineyards. With the 2014 vintage, he has finally made the jump to commercial production.
Georges currently only vinifies about 20% of the crop, but plans to gradually transition to vinifying all 4.7 hectares. As one would expect from the vineyard sites, these are rich, deeply flavorful Champagnes. They are bottled with little to no dosage.
